Digital content marketing strategy

Digital content marketing strategy not only attracts clients but also moves them through the correct funnels, gaining you more sales and overall growth. Ensure that you are not narrow-minded for content marketing,

GO BIG! Your content needs to be perfect, delivering the correct information at all times and at the right moment in the customer’s journey.

The three stages a prospect must move through to become a customer are Awareness, Evaluation, and Conversion.

Prospects should know there is a problem and that you offer a solution to that problem. Evaluating the choices available to them leads them to conversion (purchase) thus make sure your content meets their specific needs and requirements at each of the three stages.

All content at the top of the funnel facilitates awareness, which includes blogs, print magazines, and newsletters.

Using the content of the middle funnel which are the educational resources, software downloads, and webinars events facilitate the evaluation stage.

Finally, the bottom funnel which is the desired stage facilitates conversion or sale by use of demo, free trials and mini-classes acting as bait for the desired customers. Continuously keep in mind that the evaluation and conversion stages are critical to your business!

The top of the funnel being for the unaware individuals, not realizing they have a problem and you the solution means that you will most definitely need low barrier entry content which entertains, educates or inspires – just don’t give up.

The biggest goal of the middle funnel is to change the problem and solution awareness into a lead. We often use free content as an incentive to prospects, leading to their submission of information.

These lead magnets range from educational resources, software downloads, and surveys to webinars and events.

Turning your lead into a sale is where the bottom of the content funnel comes in. Demos, free trials and comparison sheets all act as magnets that drive the consumer to realize the need for the product or service and the solution to problems.

Digital content marketing strategy is intent-based, you need to understand current and expected future intent and create content assets continuously.

Doing not create a path through each funnel of content only creates a bad customer experience which ends up in bad marketing, so prevent yourself from being restricted to one particular type of content marketing strategy and give them all a try. Keep trying to till you find the GOLDEN ONE!
